The Tall Ship Experience returns to Port Washington
from July 24th – July 27th, 2025!
Sail on one of three Tall Ships (Liberty Clipper, When and If, and Appledore IV) from Port Washington July 24th – July 27th. The last time these historical ships visited Port Washington was 2014, and we are thrilled that they have agreed to return. Whether you are doing a deck tour, and Daytime Sail or a Twilight Sail, you will be experiencing the history of not only the ships, but also the historic harbor of Port Washington.

Before you order your ticket, be sure to decide which ship and sailing experience you want, whether it be Daytime Sail, or Twilight Sail. Select the ship you want to sail on, the day you want to visit and the time slot that fits your schedule.
Daytime sails are scheduled from early morning until late afternoon and will be roughly one and a half hours (1.5) in length. You'll enjoy several unique and panoramic views of Port Washington and its harbor. Take advantage of this opportunity to get on the water as you feel the breeze, and watch the sails shimmy against the blue sky.
Twilight sails happen between 6 PM and 7 PM, just as the sun begins to set and will be roughly two hours (2) in length. Enjoy the sun setting over Port Washington as you experience the incredible glow of the sun setting over our beautiful city. Twilight sails offer a romantic, breathtaking atmosphere — ideal for couples, friends, or anyone who loves sunsets.
The boats will tie up on the Coal Dock Park promenade and will load for sails and deck tours from Rotary Park.
