Flag Day Celebration

Time: 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm

A Celebration of Flag Day, presented by the Ozaukee County Historical Society, will take place on Sunday, June 14th at Stony Hill School, N5595 Hwy I, Waubeka, WI. Stony Hill School will be open from 1-6 with live music by Blue Louis from 2:00-4:00 pm, old-fashioned games and refreshments. Reenactors will portray Bernard Cigrand and share his story about his passion for our flag.
The program will begin at 4:00PM with the flag raising. The Sons of the American Revolution will conduct the ceremony consisting of an explanation of the Liberty Tree significance, the reading of the tree plaque, and a black powder gun salute. The National Anthem will be sung by Mileana Burmesch and representatives from the Luxembourg American Center will deliver commentaries about our flag and what it means, celebrating 250 years of freedom.
The event is free and open to everyone. Free Parking. Sponsors include: MacGillis Insurance Agency, Luxembourg American Center, Sons of the American Revolution, Waubeka Historic District and Ozaukee Dairy Promotion.
