Time: 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Come stroll among the many holiday trees and enjoy a cup of warm cider and cookies at the
opening of two new historical exhibits at the Society’s Resource Center. One exhibit will focus
on Paramount Records and its place in Port Washington’s history. The exhibit will share a
sample of artifacts from the Society collections, the history of Paramount, and a look at some of
the artists that were recorded. Information is also featured on the Ozaukee Press interactive
table located at the Resource Center.
The second exhibit will inform visitors about the recently designated Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast
National Marine Sanctuary. A new vertical interactive table illustrates and maps historic
shipwrecks within the Shipwreck Coast Sanctuary. A second kiosk showcases videos of marine
archaeologists diving and exploring Lake Michigan shipwrecks. A third interactive shows historic
routes of people immigrating to the Great Lakes States and commerce routes throughout the
Great Lakes in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Ho! Ho! Ho!
