150th Year Commemoration of the 1862 Port Washington Draft Riots.

Location: Ozaukee County Administration Building (Historic Courthouse)
In 1862, with the Civil War in full swing, some Port Washington residents rioted to show their opposition to the draft, which disproportionally affected the immigrant population, as well as those less well-off. |
